Donation and Gift Aid

In April 2000 the British Government changed the way people can donate to charities under the Getting Britain Giving initiative. Previously, only on a donation that exceeded £250, could the charity in question reclaim the tax.
Since April 2000 this limit of £250 has been removed, so even the smallest donation that you make to a charity can now have tax repaid to the charity. Effectively this means that for every £1 that is donated by any tax paying individuals, the charity concerned can reclaim the tax that is paid, directly from the Inland Revenue.
If you wish to support 2469 squadron and to make a donation, and you pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, the squadron can increase your donation, at no extra cost to you, by claiming back the tax.
