Where does 2469 squadron meet ?
At the moment, because we have no permanent headquarters of our own, we parade in the Exeter St Johns Ambulance Brigade HQ,
on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate.

When does 2469 squadron parade ?
We parade Monday and Friday evenings from 19:00hrs to 21:30hrs.

Joining Questions
How old must I be to join ?
You must be 13 years old, and can stay in the ATC until
you are 18 (or 20 if you reach the rank of Senior NCO).
Does it cost anything to join 2469 squadron ?
There are no entrance fees, but once enrolled you will have to pay subscriptions.
At present these are about £1 per week.
Are there any entrance exams to take ?
There are no entrance tests, although throughout there will be exams to take to gain
advancement in cadet classifications.
Would I be expected to join for a set length of time?
There is no length of service commitment. As a cadet, or as an adult member of staff,
you can leave whenever you want to.
General Questions
Will I have to join the RAF ?
There is no compulsion to join any of the services. But if you do join the RAF, your
training will serve you in good stead.
Will I have a uniform ?
Once you have completed your initial training you will be issued, on loan, a free uniform.
However you will have to provide footwear.
What happens if I out-grow my uniform ?
All issued uniform is replaced on an exchange basis, with no charge.
How safe are the activities ?
All staff are fully trained, and no member of staff is allowed to lead any
activity unless they have the relevant qualifications.
