Fruits Basket is a beautifully made anime, with an addictive storyline. The characters are what I like most about the story. Sure, they turn to animals when hugged by the opposite sex, but they have different qualities that make them real. Yuki is the most popular guy in school (He even has a fan club, hence the L-O-V-E-M-E-Y-U-K-I Girls.), but like the rest of us he has insecurities. Kyo, Yuki's cousin, is pretty screwed up too. He has been an outcast all his life, and, for once, he just wants to be accepted. The thing I love most about the series is that Tohru--the most unexpected person in the world--might just be the one who'll heal their wounds... and make them fall in love.
